Data processing by us

The data you enter on our social media pages, such as usernames, comments, videos, images, likes, public messages, etc., are published by the social media platform and are not processed by us for other purposes. We reserve the right to delete content if necessary. If applicable, we may share your content on our page if it is a function of the social media platform and communicate with you through the social media platform.

If you make an inquiry to us on the social media platform, depending on the content, we may also refer you to other secure communication channels that guarantee confidentiality. For example, you always have the option to send your inquiries to the address specified in the imprint. The choice of the appropriate communication channel is your own responsibility.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The data processing is carried out in the interest of our public relations work and communication with you.

Some social media platforms create statistics based on usage data, which contain information about your interaction with our social media page. We cannot influence or block the implementation and provision of these statistics. We process this information in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, in our legitimate interest to validate the handling of our social media pages and to improve our content in a targeted manner.

As mentioned before, we take care to make our social media pages as privacy-compliant as possible in the areas where the provider of the social media platform allows us to do so. Therefore, we do not use demographic, interest-based, behavior-based, or location-based target audience definitions for advertising that may be provided by the operator of the social media platform. Overall, we do not use the social media platform for advertising purposes.

Use of Insights

In connection with the operation of our Facebook page, we use the Insights function from Meta (Facebook) to obtain statistical data about the users of our Facebook page. This is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, based on our interest in being able to measure the use of our presence on Facebook.

You can also find information about the joint responsibility between us and Meta (Facebook) when using the Insights function. You will also find information about your data subject rights there. We have entered into an agreement with Meta (Facebook) in which we have agreed that Meta (Facebook) is primarily responsible for providing you with information about the joint processing and enabling you to exercise your rights under the GDPR.

Data processing by the operator of the social media platform

The operator of the social media platform uses web tracking methods. Web tracking can be conducted regardless of whether you are logged in or registered with the social media platform.

We would like to inform you that it cannot be excluded that the provider of the social media platform uses your profile and behavioral data to evaluate your habits, personal relationships, preferences, etc. We have no control over the processing of your data by the provider of the social media platform, so the use of the social media platform is at your own responsibility.

Storage period

We will delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the aforementioned processing purposes and there are no legal retention obligations preventing deletion.

Your rights as a user

As a website user, you have the opportunity to assert the following rights against both us and the provider of the social media platform, if the conditions are met:

Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR):

You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed; if this is the case, you have the right to obtain information about this personal data and the information listed in detail in Art. 15 GDPR.

Right to rectification and erasure (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR):

You have the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and, if necessary, the completion of incomplete personal data. You also have the right to request that personal data concerning you be erased immediately if one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies, for example, if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes pursued.

Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR):

You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR is met, for example, if you have objected to the processing for the duration of any review.

Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR):

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR):

If data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (processing for the purposes of legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
